"They're shutting us down for protesting..."

The University of Illinois IS A PUBLIC university. The Drumpf political rally was shut down moments ago...

What a STUPID move. Now they're not able to exit properly... parking garages are barricaded by police who are still unable to content with confrontation.

NONE OF THIS was happening before the rally was shut down.

This was a place packed with thousands of people rallying for Drumpt. But many more protestors formed outside of this. After the Rally was Cancelled, now a bunch of Drumpfucks to massively exit toward the THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE who are there to protest against them.

ROYAL FUCK UP...

All they were trying to say was that the racist and xenophobic actions growing around Trump was enough.

Now, you have FUCKING CNN spinning crazily about the fights and culpability of "the protestors".

This is an urban campus... a commuter campus... very diverse population. About 9,000 were allowable within their right to protest.

Tell them to watch Al Jazeera America now to get it straight from people who were there. I've been watching this all unfold.

I've been stunned by the idiotic blubbering of CNN

Maybe it was done on purpose? Who would benefit? How will this be reported in media? We need to have GOOD Reporting on this to find out if this was by chance or there were outside people instigating it and making sure it would happen.

While you can, because the other coverage is shit. Plus, people who were there with the camera BEFORE the event provided a pretty good visual.

Not handling it.. Drumpf can't see where the anger's coming from, which is the major fuck up.

Politicians and protestors killed and injured.

The police did the right thing just now in Chicago.
Everyone needs to go home and be safe.

You do not want to see students shot, i.e., Kent State.

Trust me, your heart will be broken if you see American young people killed.
The picture will haunt you for a long time.

I don't think you meant that.

What they MIGHT have considered is how it was wrong it was to eject PEACEFUL protestors from the onset of the gathering. They were clearly segregated from each other.

They were blocking people from leaving the parking garage, so it's gonna make it a little hard to egress.

I know you are well intended and I totally agree that we have a right to protest.

But I am scared and see the Kent State students who were shot dead
for peacefully protesting. My heart is still broken from that event and I do not
want to see American kids hurt again.

I am saying some prayers right now.

I believe peace trumps hate.

Were it not for saying, "enough is enough", we would be brewing a more festering situation.

Peaceful protest has changed the world and made it a better place.
I know this to be true.

Protest stopped the Viet Nam War, moved civil rights and women's rights forward.

I just don't want the violent part again.

Thanks for the exchange and waving back at you!
