Rachel Maddow explains the political science behind the classic strongman political tactic of ginning up political violence in order for a politician to present that violence as a problem that needs to be solved.

I want to say I am shocked, but I am not. He is a perfect storm of narcissism and brilliance. He knows just what to day to pander to his uneducated, angry, racist base.

We have seen it for decades. If you repeat it enough, dumb people will believe it.

But with Trump, he has really been treated with kids gloves. He hasn't been taken to task for anything he had said or done. I don't get it. The media had really propped him up.

and less on Republican wars.

We should all show sympathy for his family members. It is always harder on the family, while the demented one is off being crazy and shouting about what a great time he is having.
