He is frantic, agitated, almost manic.

(42,770 posts)I definitely thought - he had gone insane. No wonder his kids are taking over his business empire
JFKDem62
(383 posts)A marked change in his demeanor, almost frantic, agitated and clearly upset.
There was no "fun" as he likes to describe his rallies.
And he indicated that his wife and daughter keep asking him to be more "presidential" and
he refused to do so. He apparently sees his combative nature as necessary to win.
So his family is recognizing that his behavior is inappropriate.
My husband likes to watch Trump for the entertainment value (a la Don Rickles), I admit
I have laughed out loud at some of his comedy routine. But he is no longer funny, only sad and scary.

(1,342 posts)foment hate. Then triple down on it to foment more and more hate.
The thirty percent of the thirty percent is only a small portion of our country, but they are vocal and hateful and Trump has them in his back pocket.

(22,298 posts)it was surreal before he read that damn snake poem. Anytime there was a lull in the crowd, he'd point out another protestor & blame Bernie while whining that if "they" disrupted a Bernie rally, they'd be beaten to a pulp.

(58,785 posts)more benign, even with the birtherism and such that got him so much flattering attention. Unfortunately, I don't have cable and literally don't see him.
Malignant do you think? The scary nastiness of antisocial personality, manipulation, sociopathy, sadism, etc? Do you suspect perhaps the experiences of running now and in the past, both the crowds of adulation and unprecedented criticism and attacks, could have caused his condition to progress, becoming malignant or more malignant?
A quick description for others who haven't read about it:
Obviously, the more power the person had the more enormous the capacity for evil.
quaker bill
(8,223 posts)he is prepared to use the violence of others for self promotion, even seeing it as a sign of his greatness that he can inspire it, takes it over the malignant border. But then, I am just a botanist who has read the books..
Hortensis
(58,785 posts)though the statements on Trump seem to go both ways. It is easy to believe he has the emotional maturity of a young child, with potential for tantrums and destructive behavior that could be hideous in a president.
Regarding his followers, one analyst has a theory that narcissists in national media, like Rush Limbaugh, have made people comfortable with narcissistic style. They're entertaining and reassuring (if you twig to what they're saying with such conviction) -- but none of those have ever actually exploded out of the screen and destroyed their viewers in a rage, or punished the people of a nation that betrayed the narcissist's great "love" for it.

(51,129 posts)Donald may be a fast tracker. Well, he can afford the health care and his wife is young, she can take great care of him.
Dont call me Shirley
(10,998 posts)even imply that for that would lead to his full demise.
So he blames other (Bernie) for his current ineffectiveness.
