As Bill Marher has warned, a terrorist attack near the general election and presto!… Meet President Trump.
It is fairly well known now how Trump has studied Hitler and the Third Reich.
Faced with a defeat in the general election, a man with all the money in the world and an ego to match, will not stand for defeat which would mean a degree of public humiliation.
His solution?
Perhaps a fire at the Reichstag as Hitler pulled off in 1937? He has proven beyond a doubt that his character is not above anything so underhanded, so watch for a "terrorist attack" around October sometime.

I remember various similar predictions in years past. The best one was that Bush would find a way to suspend the 2004 election altogether. Didn't happen.

And I just don't see anything like that happening this year, either.

Actually, I wonder to what extent the kind of people who would do something like that understand this country's secular culture at all. If I wanted to attack, or better yet invade and conquer this country, I'd do it during a Super Bowl. If I got real lucky, the Redskins (or whatever name they may go by in the future) will be in the Super Bowl, which means no one in DC would notice a thing until at least the end of the game, and if they one, it would be two or three days before the invasion was noticed.

I've lived in the DC area, including one of the times they were in the big game, and I know how completely the city comes to a complete stop that day.
