I don't care what anyone says, Brian Williams is one of the most entertaining anchors on television. He is so quick-witted and has such a great sense of humor. He has the ability to make Rachel laugh (out loud) and any moment. On top of that he has the ability to control the "ergonomics" of some complex broadcasting. Like this guy a lot.

(7,429 posts)Rachael & Brian seem to get along well and it comes across on TV.
They also don't talk over one another. Can't stand that about other "teams" of news people

(2,404 posts)Sounds just like him.
Do you think he sits around while others talking just thinking up some obscure reference to throw at everyone?

(82,849 posts)After a Brian Williams appearance with Jon Stewart, I often felt myself wondering where this guy on The Daily Show set was when Williams was on the anchor desk for NBC Nightly News. I realize that as the anchor of the show, you have to have a certain detachment and appearance of objectivity, but there were so many times I just knew Williams wasn't believing the bullshit he was slinging to the American people (which he would subsequently prove during an interview with Stewart).
Which left me with the eternal question: What good is it to sit in the big chair and not be able or allowed to call bullshit? I'd like to think I'd be proof against the blandishments of the network, but when the big boys are paying you a lot of money, it's near impossible to avoid telling lies that are pleasing to them.
