Trump is America's King David

Jerry Falwell Jr.: Donald Trump Is America's King David
In an interview with Liberty University’s student newspaper last week, the school’s president Jerry Falwell, Jr.... who has compared Trump to Jesus Christ and Martin Luther King Jr., said ...
Christians who oppose (Trump) should remember that “God called King David a man after God’s own heart even though he was an adulterer and a murderer,” Falwell said. “You have to choose the leader that would make the best king or president ...”

(Falwell) was very impressed by the presidential candidate’s 757, gushing over how Trump served them Wendy’s cheeseburgers, and put a video of an Elton John concert on the television.
“He’s got this big living room with this big screen TV. He’s got a master bedroom he showed us. Then he let my son and his wife actually sit in the cockpit.”

(I think Falwell sold his soul for a cheeseburger)

was consistent in his hypocrisy. To compare David to Trump?

There has to be a Saturday Night Live skit in here somewhere.

Trump branded anointing oil.

Don't tell me about sling stones. I will have the best sling stones around.

who became impregnated by him, so King David sent her husband, Uriah, to the front lines of the war to a certain death and allowing King David to marry his "widow".

I can kinda see the comparison.

From the French word "merde," which means shit.

Interesting to see that Falwell Jr. can have his head turned by ostentatious displays of wealth. Apparently, he hasn't quite gotten up to the Gospel of Mark in his Bible reading. (Chapter 12 verses 41-44, in case you're wondering)

they have hypocrisy down to a science.

Here they're doing it for Gingrich, I have also heard Prager use it in defense of Herman Cain.

(...)

The ingenious solution his handlers have come up with is to compare him to King David. Radio host Steve Deace categorised Gingrich and King David as "two extraordinary men gifted by God, whose lives include very high highs and very low lows". On the Town Hall website, columnist Dennis Prager reminds his religious readers that God himself thought that King David deserved to remain king – and even have the messiah descend from him – despite a particularly ugly form of adultery (sending Bathsheba's husband into battle where he would assuredly be killed).
