Off Jacai Colson's shooting in Prince Georges County MD by another cop was deliberate

http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/Prince-Georges-County-Police-Shooting-Suspect-Hit-With-25-Charges-372235001.html

It seems, in the fog of an ongoing shootout with three brothers, Ofc Colson, an undercover cop in plain clothes, was mistaken for one of the perps and was deliberately aimed at and shot.

I guess I can understand how this could happen. Honestly, I do. But man oh man, it is hard to shove the phrase "policing while black" out of my head.

By all accounts Colson was a great guy, willing to do the job and do it well. As an undercover detective, he was, apparently, not well known around the cop house.

No information so far on the shooter cop.

'There was no indication the officer who fired the fatal shot had any "malice" toward Officer Jacai Colson, police chief says.

Ofc Colson, an undercover cop in plain clothes, was mistaken for one of the perps and was deliberately aimed at and shot.

"deliberately" shot by a fellow officer during crossfire.

As an undercover detective, he was, apparently, not well known around the cop house.'
