Judge Merrick B. Garland: Please call your senators today and tell them to do their jobs or quit

(202) 224-3121

Article Two of the United States Constitution requires the President of the United States to nominate Supreme Court Justices.

"he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint ... Judges of the supreme Court..."

BTW if anybody says that the pick of a judge for SCOTUS should be left up to the voters
tell him or her that the voters already spoke in the 2012 Presidental election.

Since they are both Dems (Stabenow and Peters) ... I asked them to tell their colleagues to do their jobs.

I voted for a president to serve a four year term .... not three.

While I'm disappointed that he selected another pro-corporate mushy moderate, he doesn't need my approval to nominate justices.

Perhaps the republicans in the senate are rolling the dice that they will get an even more corporate friendly nomination from President Clinton or President Trump.
