It’s hatched! Live cam shows baby bald eagle is born at the National Arboretum; No. 2 is coming

It’s hatched! A baby bald eagle was born at 8:27 a.m. eastern standard time Friday at the U.S. National Arboretum.
The American Eagle Foundation said “it is confirmed the eaglet is out and alive.” A second eaglet is likely to hatch over the weekend.
Experts said they weren’t immediately able to tell much about the eaglet because the parents are taking turns sitting on top of the nest.
In a statement, the District’s Department of Energy and Environment said the eaglet had “emerged completely from its shell.”
