Jeb Bush kept presidential campaign afloat with $250,000 personal loan

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/jeb-bush-kept-campaign-afloat-with-250000-personal-loan-election-2016/

WASHINGTON -- Jeb Bush kept his struggling presidential campaign afloat with a $250,000 personal loan - barely enough to keep the campaign from plunging into debt.

New campaign finance documents show the former Florida governor raised about $1 million in February, which was to be his final month as a Republican candidate.

Documents show his campaign wrapped up with $13,127 more in cash than debts. He left the race Feb. 20 after a fourth-place finish in South Carolina.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's report shows he raised about $420,000 in February. The Republican suspended his campaign Feb. 9, after the New Hampshire primary. Christie's campaign ended with roughly $200,000 more in debts than available cash.

Other candidates - current and former - are due to file reports by midnight Sunday.

And no surprise Christie is in debt. That's why he's allowed Trump to take him hostage. But will the Orange Aid come through in the end? I suspect not.

To make their signs, etc, will have to write off the debt. I hope they file the appropriate IRS forms so that jeb will have to claim those debt write-offs as income.

The signs were made for an entity called the "campaign" and if the debt is written off and the income charged to the "campaign", there is no income as it can be shown to have been "expended".
