"Why don't you just talk to Walker and prove him wrong?"

I imagine it would sound a lot like that.

Was flying out of Milwaukee this afternoon and spoke to a young black man who works at the airport. Asked him who he voted for and he said WALKER and, after I picked myself up from off the ground, I asked why. He said he was raised to not take handouts (so, OK, his entire family has bought the crapola) so I explained to him that the Rethugs were out to take everything away from him and that I really like my SS check each month and did he really think he would ever get HIS SS check at an older age? He looked stymied and provided no answer but to reiterate that he was taught to never take "handouts". I also explained that it was the Dems that had a long history of helping people like me/him and not the Repubs. Then I asked him if he voted Obama in '08 and he said yes and that he will also vote Obama in November. So yes, Virginia (and Wisconsin) YOU CAN BUY AN ELECTION.

. . . your 'smeller' is off tonite. I flew up to Milwaukee last Wednesday to visit my son/family and returned to Florida today. I am FROM Milwaukee and deeply Dem. I am sick about what is happening to my state and my son up there. And I am equally sick about our Tea Party guv here in Florida. I usually just read DU (have been for over a year now) but I actually signed in tonite to tell my airport story. We are all very upset with the results and I understand your response. After speaking to the young black guy I went over and told my husband about our conversation and he just shook his head. I was blown away by his answers. So, call me a troll if you must but my heart is with all the folks at DU and in Wisconsin. I was very happy to find this site and read it every day.

You're trying to sell me bullshit information, and I'm not buying it. Your story doesn't make any sense.

Face it: Propaganda Works.

The people of Wisconsin were lied to constantly for months on end. And they changed their votes accordingly.

The only reason they still plan to vote for Obama is that the anti-Obama pro-Romney agitprop machine hasn't ratcheted up to those obscene levels yet. After a few months of that, you'll see the same Walker-voters who say they'll vote for Obama in November, turn around and vote for Romney.

They were mad at Bush because Bush was so bad he could not hide his bad effects, then they were mad at how the recall was handled.

Well, there was costly damage to the Capitol. (Media overblew it, ill-informing the voters.)

Well, we don't take handouts. (You would if your kid were dying. Others would prefer not to need it.)

Add in some push-polling, purchased street PR artists, more ads than the opposition, ... not to mention machine counted votes.

Republicans found out how much money is required to buy an election.
