A petition posted to Change.org is asking for open carry of guns to be permitted at the Republican National Convention in July.

Held in Cleveland, this year's convention promises to be particularly tense as establishment Republicans ponder ways to block front-runner Donald Trump from getting the party's nomination.

The petition, which has nearly 4,000 supporters, was posted three days ago by author "N A," whose user profile appears to have been deleted from the site.

It is addressed to the Quicken Loans Arena, the National Rifle Association, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, the Republican National Committee and its chairman, Reince Priebus, along with GOP presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Trump.

I hope it's carried real time in its entirety. I don't want to miss a minute of this if they do.

As long as those who want to carry can legally own a gun. Fine by me.
I would rather know who is carrying, so open carry is fine by me.

of white supremacist mouth-breathing firebrands, open bars, plenty of area bars, in a city with a very large African-American population. Yeah. Ain't nothing gonna go wrong there, no sirree.

And if I know Cleveland cops and the so-called "justice" system there (and I grew up there and have family still in the area, so I DO know Cleveland cops and the so-called "justice" system there) they're not gonna do squat to any convention-goers who do get out of line, they'll blame those the lovely conventioneers will be harassing.

thousand guns carriers when the party establishment tries to take the nomination away from Trump. That would be a terrifying place to be.

after all of the lip-flapping we've endured from the ammosexuals about how much safer we would be if every 'Murican was packing and gun-free zones are themselves responsible for violence.

These are their people. Let them walk without fear through the valley of the shadow of the NRA, comforted by the armed embrace of thousands of their fellow law-abiding citizens.

If they don't, they prove themselves cowards and hypocrites.

Let the games begin
