Scott Walker won the recall election not because voters approve of him. Rather because some voters

don't think recall elections are a good idea. 10-15% of Democrats probably voted for Walker even though they do not support him politically because they think "we have elections every 2 years and this is adequate." Unfortunately, it will be interpreted as political support for Walker.

support Walker by voting for him. They probably stayed home.
