http://www.ajc.com/news/news/national-govt-politics/republicans-losing-faith-election-process-poll-fin/nqsbw/Republican voters are becoming increasingly cynical about the way the election process works in America, a Gallup Poll released Friday indicates.
Of the 1,012 people surveyed from any party, only 30 percent said the process was working the way it should, down from 37 percent who said the same thing in January.
The difference was more stark for GOP voters. Gallup found 30 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents thought the process was working, down from 46 percent who believed in the system in January.
The views of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents were only slightly higher, at 32 percent approval, and had not changed significantly in recent months, according to Gallup.

(65,616 posts)By now they should be very disillusioned with their party. The Teabaggers are just hopelessly delusional. Still, not all of the GOP is Teabaggers...hopefully the sit this one out.

(28,836 posts)... it was Republican gerrymandering, voter suppression,
and the decimation of the VRA that has caused all these
problems ... along with privatization of machines that can
be fixed ... along with Reeps who make voting a nightmare
for the poor and people of color.

(10,162 posts)when scrutinized, appears to be cheated, gamed, manipulated or whatever you want to call it. And almost 100% of the time it favors Republicans.

(396 posts)but it's for vastly different reasons. For the Dems, it's just a matter of getting someone to represent us. The Rethugs have a MAJOR demographics issue on top of the fact that they run on horrible ideas that only appeals to a small portion of the electorate that's not as powerful as it once was. That's why you're seeing a rise in extremism on the Right and not on the Left.
