A breakaway Pakistani faction of the militant Taliban group has claimed responsibility for an Easter Sunday bombing in a park in the eastern city of Lahore that killed 65 people.

But they only got 65! Everyone in the jihadi-Paki community is taking the challenge, trying to rack up more heaven points with kid bodies than the Peshawar school massacre's stunning and motivational 132.

You're not an apologist, you're a delusionalist.

It feels wrong to laugh in a thread about something so heinous, but I wanted to let you know that I did.

But, not the same as a western European country.

Probably more coverage than a country in Africa, though.

Pakistan is a dominant cricket playing nation that no longer plays international games at home because of the unstable security mess.

The children blown up on the playground are the moral equivalent of the people who strapped bombs to their chests and blew themselves up amongst them.

I'm sick of empty PC platitudes about "all religions".

I think it is horrible to celebrate the end of the Earth and the death and damnation of billions of people.

That said, MOST believers, whether Muslims, Christians, whatever, are good people who believe their religion is a positive force.

MOST people act, with various degrees of success, towards the greater good. They may have some opinions that need to evolve, but they are not trying to spread death and destruction.

The problem is with small, but highly destructive, fringe individuals and groups who focus on violent and exclusionary elements of their respective religions.

But Dr. King was not evil. President Obama is not evil. Elizabeth Warren is not evil. Asad Shah is not evil.

I am sorry, but just throwing out "All religion is evil" is a lazy cop out.

Any religion whose male followers believe they are going to paradise....well.... Fuck that. Alert on me. I don't damn care.

Yes, I know Islam teaches that suicide is wrong, but there's obviously a sect within Islam that thinks this is ok and that group is not a religion of peace.
