Attn Georgia homophobes: Have a Coke and a Smile and a big cup of STFU

Ga Governor Deal to veto stupid "religious freedom" bill.

Now the churches will be forced to host gay weddings just like before. What, that has never happened anywhere? Well ok.

How fucked up is that? I certainly understand, and share, the outrage over the bill, but we need to be careful what we support. The enemy of my enemy is not my friend.

governments that allow themselves to be blackmailed? I don't agree with the bill either, and believe it should never have reached the governors desk. It should have been evident before it got that far the fact that the governor would veto it, the governor shouldn't have waited to be blackmailed before making a decision.

Those large companies have many gay people working for them. People who would be discriminated against. This was the right thing for them to do, End of story.

There was no boycott. There was a threat that was conditional on behavior. What would happen to the jobs of Coke's gay workers if there actually was a boycott?

What it shows me is that money trumps religious conviction after all. Just as I've thought.
