Wisconsin’s biggest newspaper pens brutal takedown of Trump: ‘Reject this un-American candidate’

.....................

“No to his bigotry.

“No to his contempt for women and minorities. No to his vague, clueless bluster about the problems facing the nation.

“No to Trumpism, which runs counter to the ideals of this nation of immigrants, to the notion that by working together under the rule of law, we can protect freedom and promote inclusion and fair play.

“Wisconsin Republicans: Reject this un-American candidate on April 5.”

..........

“A Trump presidency would float down a river polluted by hyperbole and misstatement, tacking left to right, right to left, claiming up is down, white is black, night is day. A reality TV Wonderland,” it says toward the end. “Only we live in the real world, where the words and choices of presidents can have momentous consequences — war and peace, feast or famine, freedom or tyranny, life or death.”

“Voters can do the nation a huge service on April 5,” it concludes. “They can say ‘no’ to Donald Trump.”

Wisconsin's open primary makes it possible for everyone to jump into that, and here, stopping Trump is being pushed pretty hard.

Ex-Trump Insider: Donald Doesn’t Want to Be President

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/ex-trump-insider-donald-doesn-191100209.html

>>In an open letter to voters supporting Donald Trump in the Republican presidential primary, the former communications director of Trump’s now-defunct Super PAC said that the former reality television star not only never expected to be the Republican nominee, much less president, but never even wanted to be.

Writing for the website xojane.com, Stephanie Cegielski said that when she was brought aboard as communications director for the Make America Great Again PAC last summer, the instructions from Trump Tower were to make sure that Trump finished a respectable second in the GOP primary. It was made clear that Trump was running not as a serious contender, but as a “protest” candidate.

“I don't think even Trump thought he would get this far,” she wrote. “And I don’t even know that he wanted to, which is perhaps the scariest prospect of all.

“He certainly was never prepared or equipped to go all the way to the White House, but his ego has now taken over the driver's seat, and nothing else matters. The Donald does not fail. The Donald does not have any weakness.”

***********

Creepy as hell. Is this all one big act that got out of hand? Perhaps.

I don't know many Republicans but the ones I do know do not intend to support tRump.

As you point out, he has many big flaws to say the least!

about anybody. The Urinal-Sentinal is usually pro-GOP and they are probably worried about what Trump is likely to do to the party. Wisconsin has its share of troglodytes who will vote for him anyhow but I was glad to read this.

This is the monster the GOP has created. Impervious to facts, unwaveringly distrustful of "the elite," trained to come when various dog whistles are blown. I'm going to guess this will only increase turnout for Trump.

Just marching to the RNC orders to stop Trump in Wisconsin at every opportunity.

Every talk radio falling in line and the Weasel announcing for Cruz today. A unified attack to cause a brokered convention and hand it to Ryan, who I think HATES being Speaker and wants out and up.

The Urinal (Journal) just can't quite get to endorsing Cruz ..... yet.
