Time to Turn Off Trump Media--All of It!

This morning, on Huffington Post, there were 7 stories about Trump on the front page. Every network, every media site is saturated with Trump. I'm sick to death of this demagogue dominating American news, littering our lives with his self-promoting garbage. Maybe it's time to disconnect and turn off from any and all news. Maybe it's time to boycott in any way we can. Les Moonves, the head of CBS made this statement in speaking of his network's obsession with Trump, "It may not be good for America, but it's good for CBS." Non-stop Trump is distorting our culture. It's making America sick. Time for us to turn away and turn off. After all, baseball season is about to begin, Aljazeera America, the finest journalism I've seen in decades, still has one month left before it disappears, and Free Speech TV broadcasts every day. We are the audience, and we have the power to shape the news. It's time we used it.

On-line, I can still filter out what I don't want past the headline.

One just has to learn how to get past the hype and propaganda and ignore the trash.

I decided to back away because this type of garbage delivered in repeated doses can over time adversely impact one's ability to think independently. Other than that, it is nothing but a soap opera. I am all about the issues. Add all of this together to the fact THEY AIN'T GOT NOBODY TO RUN. Even when there were like 27 of them, THEY HAD NOBODY.

I realize that this type of hype brings in big bucks for the MSM. So now I virtually watch none of it. I did one night turn to Aljazeera, and could not help but be impressed. I used to periodically watch this network, and it contained some of the most interesting stuff. It is a big disappointment it could not make a success out of this venture.

So I am right there with you Evar -- turn it off. Wash those Republicans out of your life, as well as their sponsors, and you will once again feel politically clean.

Sam
