Their mess would be like if Jim Webb suddenly started winning states left and right and Clinton & Sanders were barely hanging on. That's a bad analogy, but it's as close as I can get.

However, once its over and the job is up again....doubt if he is even in the list of contenders.

If they are smart (and that's a big if), the next guy will be a one term-er as well....only he will make the painful overhauls that are needed that will probably piss a lot of people off, but makes sure another Trump doesn't occur.

While I hated the results he accomplished, he worked with ruthless efficiency that I couldn't help but admire ... and all the time maintained an "aw shucks" aura of Southern charm on talk shows and in front of the media.
