WI, NC feels your pain

I feel like I have spent much of the past 50 years getting my hopes up a bit to then lose by a few percent. Over and over again. I wish I could offer something more uplifting, but I can't.

2. NC has been pretty good for state offices

Looks like the GOOP wave hit full force in 2010 though.

3. GOP has caused much harm in NC

Gained control of both houses. With 5 DINOs overrode veto. Let one cent "emergency" sales tax lapse (had mostly gotten NC through recession until then), massive gov layoffs, etc.

Had Bush/Rove Fed prosecutor George Holding (R) held over 2+ years to investigate most state Dems: Gov, ex Gov, Edwards. Relentless. With Obama and DOJ blessings. (FYI none of those investigated had supported BO in the primaries, unless you were to count JE.)

Holding finally resigned after indicting Edwards and immediately began running for Congress and in two years expect him to run for Edwards old Senate seat.

Oh, and NC passed a really poorly worded Marriage Amendment. Depressing. The only thing worse than our native GOP, are all those who move here from elsewhere and are less likely to be Dems than the natives.
