Calif. teen killed in officer-involved shooting
South San Francisco Police say a 14-year-old boy who was attempting to flee police was shot and killed when he allegedly pulled out a gun at pointed it at an officer.
Sgt. Danny Gil told KTVU-TV that the incident occurred in a gas station parking lot Tuesday night after an officer made contact with the teen and another individual and one of the teen began running.
Gil said the officer gave chase and, fearing he was in danger, shot the teen after he apparently had turned around and pointed a gun at the officer.
The teen later died at a local hospital.
