Drunk doctor who assaulted Uber driver fired.

http://www.indiatimes.com/news/world/drunk-doctor-anjali-ramkissoon-who-attacked-an-uber-driver-in-the-us-fired-253930.html

I think she was on suspension, but it looks like they went ahead and fired her.

She's going to have a VERY hard time finding another residency. All that work for nothing...

7. As long as it is consensual.....

This is why 50 Shades was not realistic - it was abuse because it was not consensual. A lot of people have a misconception about what it is to be a dominatrix, or a domme. The way this chick acted, she would be booted from the BDSM community. It was wrong.

5. As long as she completes a rehalibitation program she should find new residency

I'm strongly against destroying people for a mistake in their life. People can reform themselves and we as a society should help them if they want help.

19. +1

It's like once you make a mistake you are to be kicked out for good or something.

8. Probably not the first time she behaved like an entitled asshole

Hopefully she learns from this experience, but I sincerely doubt it.

10. If she's any good as a neurologist, she'll find work, and

this was probably a useful development for her. I knew a woman years ago who told me she felt everyone should be fired at least once in their careers. I didn't understand that at the time, but in hindsight, I 100% get what she was saying, and this woman is a prime example of someone who could benefit from it on many levels.

That said, if she were to do some work in areas underserved by doctors, it'd go a long way towards rehabilitating her reputation, IMHO. But she obviously is not the kind of person with a giving character, so that is unlikely to happen.

12. I actually agree with this.

Being fired was one of the most humbling experiences of my life, and something that I now think was the best thing that ever happened to me. I was let go not for cause, but because "it wasn't a good fit." It was true and completely justified but it stung like hell at the time.

The United States has no fear of being invaded and occupied. No one would want this place.

16. Why do people have to be fired for every mistake?

What a waste to the public of a doctor's training.

But assholish drunken assault, viewed by millions will usually get you fired.

18. Just seems like why not let the criminal penalties

be the punishment. But if you are still doing a good job, why in these stories it always seems necessary that they lose their job too is beyond me. How will that lead to reform?
