Wow.

Is ( was ) that an excerpt of an actual exchange you had with someone? I can't beleive someone would be so blatantly obtuse unless they know they're licked and just want to try to save face by sounding defiant.

... try it sometime, if you're able to sit with a winger long enough to have a coherent conversation. Like at the airport waiting on a flight, or on the plane flying across the country. I suggest just nonchalantly start the conversation discussing current events. They'll probably do most of the talking, so all you'll need to do maybe is mention something else in the news, if they stop talking.

One thing, though, you must let them do the talking. Don't argue with them. They will clam up if they think you're leading them on.

I Googled it and found the actual post. So it's legit.

I further stipulate that it's all accurate, because I've personally had exchanges like that with more wingers than I can count over the years.

The winger clearly knows he/they lost the culture war by the deliberatly clipped and reflexive contrary tone. There was no debate: Just a desire to tweak the non-wingers.

And unfortunately, it ain't just the wingers that do that.
