1. To clarify what you don't want to understand, before this gets locked
She had her own secure, more secure than government servers, installed so she could use a blackberry...it's that simple...the government servers were not equipped to ensure the connection could be secure...next right wing meme, please.

24. For further clarification
Anything on the public internet is less secure than the government's classified network.
The government classified system is hardwired to be its own network; there are no outside links. Every phone connected to it can only call other phones within the network. There is a separate phone number system in place. Every email sent from the network can only be sent to other computers plugged in to the secure network. No hacker can get those emails, unless it is an inside job. There is literally a second internet that can only be accessed within a SCIF. This is the network HRC should have been using for official business. |

25. This statement is so beyond ridiculous, and so untrue.
I am sitting here with my jaw agape. I don't know if you are willfully ignorant--and are covering up Clinton's actions. Or if you just don't know the facts.
Regardless--You are wrong. Dead wrong. There is treasure trove of facts and information out there, if you would just take the time to do some research. Keeping Hillary fans in the dark with disinformation is a disservice to everyone around you. It has been widely reported that Clinton's email server was NOT secure. That is was vulnerable. The issue isn't whether or not her server was hacked. The issue is--was this homebrew server (that even the President Obama didn't know about)--secure? AP Exclusive: Clinton Email Server Setup Risked Intrusions Remote-access software allows users to control another computer from afar. The programs are usually operated through an encrypted connection — called a virtual private network, or VPN. But Clinton's system appeared to accept commands directly from the Internet without such protections. "That's total amateur hour," said Marc Maiffret, who has founded two cybersecurity companies. He said permitting remote-access connections directly over the Internet would be the result of someone choosing convenience over security or failing to understand the risks. "Real enterprise-class security, with teams dedicated to these things, would not do this," he said. The government and security firms have published warnings about allowing this kind of remote access to Clinton's server. The same software was targeted by an infectious Internet worm, known as Morta, which exploited weak passwords to break into servers. The software also was known to be vulnerable to brute-force attacks that tried password combinations until hackers broke in, and in some cases it could be tricked into revealing sensitive details about a server to help hackers formulate attacks. "An attacker with a low skill-level would be able to exploit this vulnerability," said the Homeland Security Department's U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team in 2012, the same year Clinton's server was scanned. http://bigstory.ap.org/article/467ff78858bf4dde8db21677deeff101/only-ap-clinton-server-ran-software-risked-hacking |

I hope the end result will be that these people will quit trashing good Democrats who are concerned about our party, this election and the future of the party.
All it takes is a couple of hours at the computer. Do the Google. Do your own research. Pretending like this is a right-wing issue--is reckless and irresponsible. This is happening in our Democratic party and it will affect ALL DEMOCRATS. We don't know what is going to happen. Maybe she'll be indicted. Maybe she won't. But encouraging people to be ignorant is not helping our Democratic party! |

40. You are exactly correct.
We know there is an on-going investigation, which may or may not result in indictments of Clinton and/or her top staff. Given that possibility, means there is also the possibility of the front-running Democratic candidate going into the GE as damaged goods to one degree or another. That will no doubt affect down-ticket races too. People sticking their heads in the sand denying even the possibility of trouble brewing are assuring that Democrats are caught unprepared if the hammer falls.

I had a government Blackberry and government E-mail. Both were secure. Hillary's E-mail server was NOT behind the government's firewall. It was only as protected as anyone's home computer. She was lucky it wasn't hacked.

38. So you are calling me a liar?
I think the TOS has something to say about that.
But you are correct, anyone can post anything here. No matter how wrong they are. Different government agencies were responsible for their own computer and servers at one time. Many agencies are stove piped. They had trouble sharing information with other agencies because of that. I worked for ITS, we were not. The agency I work for was working to bring all government computer system together in one system. That would have solved the Blackberry problem for Hillary. The government rules and law says you do not use private E-mail for government business, period. That is why Hillary is in trouble with her private E-mail server. If she had only used it for her personal E-mails, she would have been fine. |

43. This is a lie, but I am sure you know it
The majority, if not all, security experts have stated this was an incredibly insecure setup and could have easily been hacked. Additionally, it did not even have basic security in place for the first couple months. Also, it is against every policy for handling classified materials to house them on a private server, hard drive, etc.
You can push this all you want but it is complete and total bullshit and was done so she could skirt rules requiring transparency of her emails. She won't be indicted for it as any low level peon would but let's not pretend she was providing a secure government service. |

41. No previous SoS had an unauthorized private server in their basement.
Nor did they exchange classified messages with un-cleared individuals over insecure email. And previous SoS turned over all records to the State Dept when they left office, not stored them on a hard drive in a warehouse in NJ...despite having signed a sworn statement that all records had been turned over. But yea, other than that, just like previous SOS.

44. The FBI is investigation Clinton's server, not that she used a personal email account
What Condi Rice and Colin Powell did is one thing. They sent work-related emails from their personal accounts. Colin Powell sending a handful of emails via his Gmail account--is NOT the same thing as Clinton building a homebrew, unsecured server and conducting all State business on that server.
I'd say that you're comparing apples and oranges, but the reality is that you're comparing apples to igneous rocks. What Clinton has done is unprecedented. |

32. Good Democrats who are concerned about this ongoing FBI investigation
into Clinton's use of her unsecured, homebrew email server--are far from desperate.
What is desperate is those who suggest that sitting in the dark on this issue--and remaining completely clueless--is virtuous, wonderful behavior. You don't want this issue discussed. That is warped. It's our party too! I've been a Democrat my entire life. You don't think I have the right to raise questions or discuss openly that our current front runner and her use of an unsecured email server--are the subject of a year-long investigation? Only in Hillaryworld does that make sense. I appeal to every good Democrat--Do not allow this baloney to dissuade you from asking questions or researching about this topic. I looked into every Clinton scandal and found all of them to be baseless attacks. Including Benghazi. Not the email-server situation though. This is different. If you can't admit in public how serious this is--At least do your own due diligence and start researching on your own and learning the facts. This is about our party, the future of our party--and an FBI investigation that could upend this election AND our party--and do grave damage for years! Be informed!! |
