I just heard something very funny!

I was in the truck stop getting my fuel receipt. There was a couple of drivers talking about Trump. One of them said "he would love to see Trump win the presidency, because then the corruption in politics would stop"! I said as I was leaving, "if you think the corruption would stop because of Trump? You are very wrong. It would become a factor for him to get things done or get his way"! I was given a very dirty look from him as I laughed on the way out of the truck stop! It boggles the mind to think that Trump has people thinking that Trump will fix everything?

and it's 'foolish' to not recognize it.

'More than ever, we have to ask, why should the conventions or the elections be the framework for all we think? Even if Trump’s presidential run ends ruinously in November, Trumpism will remain, along with the GOP’s profound vulnerability to the forces Trump has unleashed. Similarly, even if Sanders fails to overtake Clinton’s delegate lead, his voters clearly represent the future of the Democratic Party, and Stan Greenberg, pollster for both Bill Clinton and Al Gore, seems justified in his warning last October that it’s a mistake for Democrats to run for Obama’s “third term.” “That’s not what the country wants. It’s not what the base of the Democratic Party wants. The Democratic Party is waiting for a president who will articulate the scale of the problems we face and challenge them to address it,” he said.

So party leaders on both sides—as well as bipartisan media figures—are simply whistling past the graveyard, perhaps with a slightly different tune just now, but still deeply devoted to reporting, analyzing and discussing things in a way that avoids as long as possible the profound changes that are clearly under way, and the equally profound changes that people are hungry for.

If past looming disasters we’ve ignored can teach us anything, it’s that this is exactly what we shouldn’t be doing. We need to be thinking as clearly and explicitly as we possibly can about the change process under way in our political system—including the objective realities driving it, as well as the deep socio-cultural and psychological forces at work, forces so deep that they are even reshaping how we think of terms like liberalism and conservatism.'>>>

They actually believe their candidate will defy history and that through sheer goodness and rightness will convince everyone about their rightness of their cause.

Two black women in KMart talking about how Obama was going to fix everything, now that he was President. I walked away, I didn't have the heart to tell them that they didn't make enough money for him to care about them.

Yes, it's the cult of belief. At least Bernie supporters are not relying on him to fix everything, he has already told us he can't, not without our help.

ACA was a GIFT to insurance companies.

He certainly didn't get out his comfortable walking shoes.

Drone bombing, any one?

Promoting the hell out of TPP.

Bailing out banks, but let people lose their homes.

I'm sorry, but I don't see one thing that he has done that has directly helped people. Corporations, yes, people, no.

Trump isn't going be putting his assets into a blind trust. So why should anyone trust him not to do whatever it takes to make himself and his family even richer?

That's what his whole life is about. Why should we expect him to stop?

http://www.mediaite.com/online/trump-running-for-president-has-been-great-for-business/

Donald Trump is campaigning to be leader of the free world, but the mogul still has a business to run. Luckily, the election has given a yuge boost to his bottom line: His business interests are “doing phenomenal, and the hotels are doing even better because of the excitement factor” induced by the election, Trump told the New York Post.

Trump said that his pursuit of the nation’s highest office was “even more of an asset internationally,” since his partners in other countries have been reading all about the presidential race, and are pretty jazzed about it. “It’s had a positive impact,” he said.
