(5,697 posts)He said,"Bush didn't keep america safe in preventing 911". It's great when he trashed Dubya, it scratched an itch of mine nobody in the republican party would ever bring up. I'm not sure the republican electorate likes it, but they seem to like train wreck trumps warts and all.

(55,981 posts)First of all she gave a speech to the Senate explaining the need to invade (the exact same speech Bush gave). There was zero evidence to back her (Bush's) claims of WMD and harboring al qaeda.
Secondly, it she thought she was voting to restrain Bush and it turns out it didn't, she must have been a fool. And why oh why didn't she and the other DINO's that were duped by Bush, have a shit fit when they found out they were fooled. Answer because they all got kick-backs from the MIC.
Bottom line is that either she wanted to invade along with Bush or she was duped by Bush, neither is a quality I want in a president.
Does she hold it against Bush to this date that he fooled her? Nope, she is fine with it because she went along with him and Cheney.

(23,156 posts)understood fully that they were voting to authorize Bush to declare war. Somehow, a lot of people in Congress willingly deluded themselves on this.

(29,414 posts)Then you can point out facts such as above. However, do bear in mind that "facts don't matter" and that "facts have a Liberal bias" so it may be a futile effort to prove them wrong.

(10,597 posts)Great poster to print out and hang where I can see it every day for the rest of my life. Like on the fridge. When dinner guests come to your kitchen, it will the first thing their eyes go to. Print off some extra copies of it and place them in the recipe drawer, cause many of your guests will ask for a copy.
Thanks kpete!

But reports of civilian casualties began to emerge. As later reports revealed, the strike was far from a success. At least nine civilians died, most of them from one family. There was one survivor, 14-year-old Fahim Qureshi, but with horrific injuries including shrapnel wounds in his stomach, a fractured skull and a lost eye, he was as much a victim as his dead relatives.

Yet despite this disastrous start the Obama administration markedly stepped up the use of drones. Since Obamas inauguration in 2009, the CIA has launched 330 strikes on Pakistan his predecessor, President George Bush, conducted 51 strikes in four years. And in Yemen, Obama has opened a new front in the secret drone war.

(6,409 posts)Really. I know this is hard for a sane person to comprehend. The Tea Party types think being involved in continuous conflict, always bombing people, and getting our military personnel killed makes us safe.
