I gather the OP is a sad attempt at clickbait, and we are to wonder why anyone would be wearing orange.

These Celebs Are Wearing Orange for National Gun Violence Awareness Day

It started in 2013, with some high school students in Chicago who lost their friend to an act of gun violence: In an effort to honor her memory, the teens began wearing orange, a bold color worn by hunters to protect them from being shot.
Three years later, #WearOrange has spread to across the country, with celebrities and even the president getting in on the movement on June 2, National Gun Violence Awareness Day. They wear it to remember gun violence victims and to help spread awareness of the attacks and accidental shootings that afflict Americans every single day. http://en.mediamass.net/people/dick-cheney/deathhoax.html#

(22,336 posts)And I honestly never heard of this before.
Also, I don't like orange and don't own any orange clothing. I wish they'd made it a different color, but I suppose it wouldn't stand out as well.
I will watch for it when I'm at my event later! I wonder if I'll see anyone in orange.

(18,318 posts)for deer, hogs, other big game, and non-avian small game. Exceptions are made for ducks, dove and other birds since shots are mainly upwards and with shotguns, and the birds can readily see orange (deer and some other animals don't see in full color, and have trouble picking up orange). Turkey hunting does not require orange as these birds can read serial numbers in any color at 50 yards.

In 2013, teens on the southside of Chicago started to wear orange to honor a friend shot and killed in a park near their school. Three years later, what started in their high school has become a national movement. Join us on June 2nd and #WearOrange to show your support for a country free from gun violence!
