I can't help but think the GOP is getting SERIOUSLY punked by Trumpo SelfDestructo

Despite yuuuuge portions of advice to the contrary. Tronald Dump continues to escalate his racist comments. Even as criticism from his own side increases he doubles down with his hate and hateful speech.

Just today, a new poll shows him down against the likely Democratic nominee, such that he has a double digit deficit where, just a few days ago, the delta was 2 points.

Is this Donald being Donald or is it - conscious or otherwise - a political death wish playing out in real time?

I think its possible he has decided he really doesn't want to be president. He doesn't want the press scrutiny. He doesn't want to tone down his hate speech. He doesn't want to have to actually deal with actual Hispanics or people of color. He just wants to be an unchallenged big shot.

And so he is sabotaging himself. The worst that happens is he wins the way he is. The best, he loses and sues NBC to get his TV gigs back.

And reopens Trump U, starts selling Trump Steaks and Trump wines, and runs all his penny ante scams. All the while trying to look like a gazillionaire when he is NOTHING OF THE KIND.

All the above is speculation. It is, as stead in the thread title, just some things I can't help but think as I look at Trump through logical, thinking eyes.

Which may well be my biggest mistake.

1. the alternative is that he really DOES know the inherent nature of REPUB voters which,

by extension, means our society is even more racist, bigoted and ignorant than even my most cynical self could have imagined.

2. I think Trump is being used to troll the Republican voters and our nation and I

am deeply ashamed of our entire news/information media for not only allowing it, but creating and promoting it as they continue to promote this pseudo candidate, this charade of an election.

Unfortunately, they've decided to go with the flow, and cause as much damage as possible on their way down.

4. I think Trump never wanted to be President.

He did it as a publicity stunt. When his idiotic campaign gained traction, he carried it further. Then it reached a point of no return and he couldn't quit. He keeps pushing the envelope to see how far he can go before even his supporters are disgusted.

And I wouldn't be surprised to find this was a bet between him and Slick Willy.
