before posting this same NBC story a moment ago. Thanks H20 Man. I've missed you. I wish seeing you again was under better circumstances. Don't feel much like talking tonight.

He was one of the very first few great ones out there. We're all less for his loss.

Peace to his loved ones. He will be dearly missed.

I read this book years ago, and it touched me in the place where Ali lives in my heart. If you can find a copy, it will touch you too.

My mom Hayes it.

When tjey got the tv into tje bedroom...one reason was for dad to watch tje Li Frazier fight. Don't ask me which one. I was too young. I know it was a good fight...my dad had a smile all next day at lunch and dinner.

That memory rushed as I wrote a news story tonight.

it is a somber moment.

It's hard to encapsulate in words what Ali meant for our generation. We saw the unfairness, heard the truth in his speech and realized there would be many burdens heaped upon the truth tellers before the ignorant, the warmonger and the greedy would be tamed.

He did not stand down from defiance of wrongdoing; he stood up for his beliefs and seemed impenetrable even when they convicted him. In the end he won the greatest battle by never, ever, ever giving in.

Most people today will sell their own granny for a chance to get ahead. Muhammad maintained his ethics in the face of mighty foes and personal downfall.

May he be whole and at peace.
