Donald Trump's appearances on CNN's State Of The Union and CBS's Face The Nation were total disasters for the presumptive Republican nominee after both networks used the interviews to call out his lies.
The trouble began for Trump after he repeated his claim that he always opposed the Iraq war.

(82,849 posts)Trump is obsessed with being treated "fairly," a slippery concept that usually boils down to everyone being reasonable and doing things Trump's way. Getting called out on his own bullshit will surely lead to a string of tweets pissing and moaning about how unfair it is to use his own words against him. Sad.

(10,597 posts)Who knows what the fool is up to. I've wondered recently if he's doing everything he can to NOT be elected, since his personal treasure is emptying out. And this is what just flashed through my mind: What if Trump just ups and quits, like before the Republican Convention gets here (July 18). ?

He was trying to be soft spoken but I bet he was furious afterward with the questions.

They're finally getting their feet under them. He seldom had much chance of attracting anything beyond his core base. Maybe if he'd try to fake being some kind of rational human being. His personal narcissist is in charge though.
