OKLAHOMA CITY -

The Oklahoma Legislature has filed a resolution petitioning Congress to draw up articles of impeachment against President Barack Obama over a directive the administration issued regarding transgendered students’ rights.

Last week, the Obama administration directed public schools to give transgender students access to bathrooms and locker rooms that match their gender identity.

The resolution, however, states that the Obama administration has exceeded its constitutional authority.

In addition to the President, the resolution also seeks to impeach the US Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Education Secretary John B. King, as well as “any other federal official” connected to the administration’s directive.
