Legal Question Re: Trump

shouldn't Trump given all his proclamations about the judge in his University case be found in contempt of court? Federal Judges are usually pretty quick about that. I have heard of others being found in contempt for a lot less.

Technically, yes. But I doubt the Judge will do anything at this time, and why should he? . . . Journeyman Jun 2016 #1

Trump is doing incredible damage to his campaign and his lawsuit, so why should the Judge step in now and take the heat away from Trump?

If the Judge moved against him, sentiment might swing back to Trump. As it is, Trump's done nothing but stir up a shit storm of trouble for himself, damaged his campaign, and potentially compromised his legal standing.

The Judge, I'm sure, certainly finds it amusing.

And eventually, Trump will have to stand before him, a defeated Presidential candidate, and a soon-to-be lambasted civil defendant. Trump has only harmed himself, and justice (a the moment) is best served by letting him alone at this time.

He probably wants the judge to charge him with contempt, thinking he could get a conflict of interest line on appeal. That and the sympathy vote from his followers.

I don't see how any of it would work. If there is any justice in the world, Trump should be toast on this one.

to jail for this type of fraud??? It's ironic that he is screaming for Hillary to go to jail if he might be a jail candidate himself.

I think the judge probably sees Trump like most everyone else, completely unstable and probably likely to destroy himself with his own words.
