Bob Corker sees Trump’s ‘maturity’ where none exists

shame on my senator - trump would be a foreign policy DISASTER

Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) has defended Donald Trump, even when it didn’t make coherent sense to do so, and yesterday he continued to run interference for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

ABC’s George Stephanopoulos asked Corker a good question: “Which specific ideas of Donald Trump on foreign policy are you enthusiastic about, are you ready to fight for?” The senator replied:

“So I think – here’s what I have seen in many of the statements that he’s made. It’s something that Secretary Baker would – it’s a degree of realism coming back into our foreign policy.

“For years, we’ve had neocons on the Republican side. We’ve had liberal internationalists on the Democratic side. And I think bringing that maturity back into our foreign policy is something that’s important. So I see a degree of maturity stepping in. I’ve obviously encouraged that.”

Trying to remember how he phrased this; something about Trump not having firm ideas and policies to fix problems because he hasn't hired campaign & policy people. Sounded to me like he was admitting that DT doesn't have a clue how to address current US issues.

On edit: Corker was exceptionally manipulative and dishonest today.

Good luck, Senator! He actually thinks he can help trump become more "presidential"! I am pretty sure that trump does not accept help graciously nor does he admit to having any shortcomings.
Didn't Ryan try to "educate" him, too? How did that work out?

These would-be enablers so deserve to drown under a pile of self-destructed orange Trump goo. Lacking that satisfying picture, maybe Corker will still be covered with Trump goo in 2018 when he's up for reelection.

It's just that he can't think of one specific idea that makes him so enthusiastic. "All of them, Katie!"

............that basically said that Corker is a "virtual lock" to be named Drumpf's choice for VP. So gee whiz, what a surprise that he heartily endorses everything Der Drumpf says. On another note, just imagine how much fun it will be to have a "Trump-Corker" ticket. It makes you think about what a "Trump Corker" might look like. I think it sounds like a euphemism for this:
