Sanders' voters represent almost half the country but now they are missing from the conversation? I guess the media and political elites don't want to hear anymore about economic justice, environmental justice social justice, or racial justice. It began in my mind with the extreme bullying of Jeff Weaver by Matthews and Frank a week or two ago. It was blistering. The AP capped it with their anointment of Clinton. It was a clearly manipulated effort.
Even Al Franken was rather uncle-like when asked how Bernie would be received now in Congress. Some reports have said he would be elevated and highly respected. Franken responded in an avuncular way by not saying anything at all except to humor his return. Franken was a favorite of mine but that's over.

(34,648 posts)They are not even half of the democratic party. Not even half of the people who actually VOTED in the primary. How can they possibly represent half the entire country?
Jeff Weaver was not bullied. He made no sense and was questioned.

(135,425 posts)If Jeff was "bullied" he was "bullied" by his boss--at least that's what JEFF is saying, these days. As are others in the Sanders campaign.

Subtext: Any fuckups? Those are ALL BERNIE.
I dont know who advised him that this was the right route to take, but we are now actively destroying what Bernie worked so hard to build over the last year just to pick up two fucking delegates in a state he lost, rapid response director Mike Casca complained to Weaver in an internal campaign email obtained by POLITICO.
Thank you for your views. Ill relay them to the senator, as he is driving this train, Weaver wrote back.
Subtext: He does what he wants. He doesn't listen to staff. He thinks he knows better than the people he pays for advice.

Not sure where you got the idea he didn't say anything at all.

(701 posts)Franken may have agreed but didn't offer it. Perhaps I need to rewatch the video on the MSNBC site. Still, his comments were very general and passive. I'll stick with humoring his return.

(135,425 posts)It is a tribute to his restraint that he simply used humor instead of saying what he really thought, given some of the comments BS made about HRC.
Nothing was "blistering" and no one was "anointed." Here's how it went down--people voted. MORE people voted for Hillary.
Get over it. Griping isn't going to change the results.
And perhaps the reason you're not seeing people piping up for Bernie is because he has fired most of his staff--and already THEY are stuffing HIM under the bus.
Read, learn--these are BERNIE's PEOPLE saying this, so if you want to cry "hit piece" you need to understand that the ones delivering the hits are the ones closest to Bernie's throne--they are EVISCERATING him:
