Sanders surrogates missing from media - seems like.

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by one_voice (a host of the General Discussion forum).

Sanders' voters represent almost half the country but now they are missing from the conversation? I guess the media and political elites don't want to hear anymore about economic justice, environmental justice social justice, or racial justice. It began in my mind with the extreme bullying of Jeff Weaver by Matthews and Frank a week or two ago. It was blistering. The AP capped it with their anointment of Clinton. It was a clearly manipulated effort.

Even Al Franken was rather uncle-like when asked how Bernie would be received now in Congress. Some reports have said he would be elevated and highly respected. Franken responded in an avuncular way by not saying anything at all except to humor his return. Franken was a favorite of mine but that's over.

1. Half the COUNTRY? No. They don't. This op starts with a false premise

They are not even half of the democratic party. Not even half of the people who actually VOTED in the primary. How can they possibly represent half the entire country?
Jeff Weaver was not bullied. He made no sense and was questioned.

8. Jeff Weaver stuffed Bernie under the bus.

If Jeff was "bullied" he was "bullied" by his boss--at least that's what JEFF is saying, these days. As are others in the Sanders campaign.

“Bernie’s been at the helm of this campaign from the beginning,” said Weaver, “and the overall message of this campaign and the direction of the campaign and the strategy, has been driven by Bernie.”

Subtext: Any fuckups? Those are ALL BERNIE.

Take the combative statement after the Nevada showdown.
“I don’t know who advised him that this was the right route to take, but we are now actively destroying what Bernie worked so hard to build over the last year just to pick up two fucking delegates in a state he lost,” rapid response director Mike Casca complained to Weaver in an internal campaign email obtained by POLITICO.
“Thank you for your views. I’ll relay them to the senator, as he is driving this train,” Weaver wrote back.

He demanded that the campaign bank account never go under $10 million, even when that’s meant decisions Weaver and campaign architect Tad Devine have protested -- like making the call in the final days before Kentucky to go with digital director Kenneth Pennington’s plan to focus on data and field, instead of $300,000 to match Clinton on TV.

Subtext: He does what he wants. He doesn't listen to staff. He thinks he knows better than the people he pays for advice.

I now have a better idea of who screwed the pooch. This is very revealing and should be studied as a way not to run

4. Franken said Bernie would receive a standing ovation from his Senate colleagues

He said that last night on Lawrence O'Donnell.

Not sure where you got the idea he didn't say anything at all.

12. That is the one to which I refer. Didn't O'Donnell suggest the standing ovation?

Franken may have agreed but didn't offer it. Perhaps I need to rewatch the video on the MSNBC site. Still, his comments were very general and passive. I'll stick with humoring his return.

5. Al Franken has been a friend of Bill and Hill for decades now.

It is a tribute to his restraint that he simply used humor instead of saying what he really thought, given some of the comments BS made about HRC.

Nothing was "blistering" and no one was "anointed." Here's how it went down--people voted. MORE people voted for Hillary.

Get over it. Griping isn't going to change the results.

And perhaps the reason you're not seeing people piping up for Bernie is because he has fired most of his staff--and already THEY are stuffing HIM under the bus.

Read, learn--these are BERNIE's PEOPLE saying this, so if you want to cry "hit piece" you need to understand that the ones delivering the hits are the ones closest to Bernie's throne--they are EVISCERATING him:

That's a lot of people to alienate. Don't you want those people to support the nominee?
