(2,902 posts)Maybe we should wait until the investigation determines that first.

(14,915 posts)called 911 to make sure people knew he was acting in the name of ISIS. That's just the stuff that WE know sitting on our asses behind a computer.

(6,716 posts)Hate, terrorism, automatic weapons that should have been banned after Sandy Hook. What a sad day.

(71,981 posts)Her statement in line with the president. Come to find out dude was able to keep his gun permit although the bureau interviewed him for ties to an american suicide bomber. Great. Access to guns. Blowing the hell out of isis doesn't solve that problem.

(25,456 posts)The number of people assuming that there can be only one motive - whichever one they personally assigned already based on incomplete and ever-changing information - is pretty damn disturbing.

(9,895 posts)I liked her statement as being appropriate, timely and sensitive to the moment. Compare and contrast to the sleazy thing that is claiming the GOP mantle and accepting congratulations in the wake of mass murder...no contest who is more appropriate and ready to lead.
Terror and Hate met Opportunity and Access.
The results are that 50 people are gone today that were here yesterday and have been lost for all tomorrows.
This is NOT an intractable issue, there ARE common-sense solutions to limit the carnage ability quotient without confiscating guns from hunters, sportsman and law abiding citizens.
It is right to cite all factors, but a solution or even a slow down in the rate of occurrences is going to take the courage to act on knocking out those pillars that make these shootings possible at all. HRC seems willing to try. The NRA's pet party and hired goon will do less than nothing, they will champion unfettered access as the only solution.
Our problems are legion. I'm with the only candidate left who will even attempt to do anything about them.
