1. If things like "Australian style gun control" (I.E., confiscation)

weren't parroted at every occasion, I imagine the sales wouldn't be so high. It's sort of funny. Gun controllers stoke the fire with rhetoric, gun owners go out and buy up guns to head off potential legislation, the gun lobby is strengthened, and the gun controllers remain blissfully unaware of just how much they tilled the field that grew the beast. "We'll just have to act extra authoritarian next time!" they say. The NRA and Ruger sit back and have a chuckle. Rinse, repeat.

There was a time when reasonable measures could have been taken. Alas, the USS Gun Control Credibility set sail some time ago.
