2. I suspect there are some very large secret donations not included in this GoFundMe campaign.

The LGBTQ community is very protective of itself because so many them, especially older members, have dealt with a hostile, unaccepting society. I wouldn't be surprised if someone like Ellen DeGeneres or Chris Hughes covered most/all of the funeral costs for those who were killed or the hospital bills for the survivors. Even someone like Peter Thiel may assist, albeit anonymously.
