Ok, Ok, So Please Help Me Straighten This Out... (re: the Orlando shooter)

So domestic terrorist buys a gun, weapons grade, heads into a nightclub that he frequented (and we all know why), starts shooting up the place, including engaging fire with a uniformed off duty police officer that the club hired for security, and then there's a stand off? He tries to negotiate for a bullet proof vest?

I've seen the video reports showing officers firing into the building from outside. Did they hit anyone? Did they hit him? Why didn't they use tear gas or something? How many more people got killed when the cops told him he couldn't have a bullet proof vest?

Or am I getting something wrong?

1. Apprently when the police arrived they went in and got him corraled in the bathroom. There was no

more shooting after they got him in the bathroom. They were able to get many of the wounded out in that time.

2. Ok, Ok, and they told him no bullet proof vest because they were going to kill him?

I am not sure how I feel about that....were there any victims in the bathroom with him when the police shot him?

This is all so nauseating

3. The police made a hole in the brick wall. He tried to escape. That is when they shot him. He did

have hostages in the bathroom. Why they had to wait when he barraccaded himself in there.
