The pursuit began at 9:11 p.m. Thursday, June 16, on Shelby Road just west of the village of Shelby. Deputies had been alerted to be on the lookout for the distinctive truck after a call that it had been driving onto the shoreline sand and "turning doughnuts" at the Stony Lake oval, Mast said.

Rather than pulling over when deputies turned on their flashers, the driver fled ...

A 21-year-old Shelby man was arrested. Charges are pending of fleeing and eluding police, a felony, and marijuana possession and driving without insurance, both misdemeanors ...
