Arrogant Bastard Brewing Co.
California, United States | website
Style: American Strong Ale
Alcohol by volume (ABV): 7.20%
Availability: Year-round
Notes / Commercial Description:
At Arrogant Bastard Brewing Co., we believe that pandering to the lowest common denominator represents the height of tyrannya virtual form of keeping the consumer barefoot and stupid. Brought forth upon an unsuspecting public in 1997, Arrogant Bastard Ale openly challenged the tyrannical overlords who were brazenly attempting to keep Americans chained in the shackles of poor taste. As the progenitor of its style, Arrogant Bastard Ale has reveled in its unprecedented and uncompromising celebration of intensity. There have been many nods to Arrogant Bastard Ale...even outright attempts to copy it...but only one can ever embody the true nature of Liquid Arrogance!
Ratings......
Clear reddish brown hue with very thick creamy and velvety tan head, the head has exceptional retention and just slowly subsides to everlasting foamy crown while yields plenty of refined yet sticky lacing along the glass-side.
Caramel, vanilla, roasted coffee bean, toasted dark bread, chocolate, sugar, faint honey, some fresh fruitiness , overall the aroma is complex with many layers yet not too sharp and quite aromatic.
Please do read more!!!

(5,299 posts)Stone Brewing started in San Diego, we get their stuff in the Los Angeles area, not sure what kind of national distribution they have or don't.
There's a small Stone tasting room and retail outlet in Pasadena which I go to occasionally.
If you can find any Stone products in your area, I highly recommend em.
I think their web site is StoneBrewing.com.

(135,425 posts)He likes the Oddball brands, too--he'd get a kick out of that brand (he's a bit of an Arrogant Bastard at times too-LOL!). We give him beer on gift giving occasions, because it's always welcomed!
It looks like, from my cursory google, that I can find the item in eastern MA--I'll take a bit of a drive for it!

After a certain age and stage, you just don't need more crap and clutter. But good chow or good booze? Mmmm mmm gooooooood!!!
