Two Good Quotes from Republican Strategists on Lewandowski's Firing

Rory Cooper: "The idea that firing a staffer shows some kind of competence when your advertising, your campaign infrastructure, your data infrastructure, the offensive nature of your rhetoric, your campaign is a dumpster fire and it’s not because of one staffer, it’s because of the candidate. This is not a real campaign to begin with. They have a half dozen people and are relying on the RNC to do almost all of the heavy lifting that a normal campaign does, which is near impossible especially when the RNC is going to have to focus on protecting the House and Senate seats that Donald Trump puts in danger.”

Alex Conant: “Trump’s campaign is in free fall. There is not a single aspect of the campaign that is in good shape; he has messaging, finance, political, organizational problems and on the current trajectory, he will suffer an embarrassing defeat this fall. Effectively [Trump] doesn’t have a campaign...He’s had two months now to consolidate conservative support and aside from one or two symbolic actions like the NRA speech and the list of judges both of which he subsequently undermined, he’s done nothing to unite Republicans and I think arguably his standing among Republicans is worse than it was a month ago.”

came from the fringes of the Party, a party that might be condidered "fringe" in its entirety, he can't really lose support from independents or disenchanted Democrats. So, in fact, by all indications he's losing his base. Even some of them are coming to their senses and wondering "what's going on here?" for the first time.

I asked this on another thread. What about their appearance clues you in? I mean the young lady resembles my sister and put me in a suit, take away 20 years and I would fit right in with that photo.

I agree they are spoiled, entitled assholes.

But I get real nervous when we judge folks on their looks. If I saw any of them walking down the street I would not lift an eyebrow. Well, maybe for the girl😏

I am not attacking. Just wondering what I am missing.

From what I have seen, this is just who Trump has always been. He's lost in his own narcissistic bubble which would explain his erratic behavior. We would see a lot more confusion and would probably have great difficulty maintaining such a hectic schedule.

circumstance he could be crowned king.

Most likely not, which is going to bring about a whole new side of the real estate weasel...The Loser.

Will he scream and rant? Start firing everyone in sight, even people who don't work for him? Lock himself in his office, and start stabbing little, itty, bitty, tiny holes in the wall with some tool he can hold?

If he really is delusional, he may well be making plans for a coup behind all this. We may just piss him off so bad he just does away with elections entirely.

I really don't want any of the other Repubs to be the opponent to HRC. I think that could be harder for the Dems to defeat than Trump.

When the GOP starts sounding "reasonable" again—I think it's even more dangerous.

Would much rather this play out straight through to November.

I've never seen a campaign so dysfunctional in my life time. I remember Alan Keyes running against Obama for senate from Illinois in 2004, being down by 60 points but still running a more organized and respectful campaign. The GOP is getting worse and worse and worse. Who are they going to run in 2020? A ham sandwich? A 6 year old? The corpse of Strom Thurmond? I think a black man as president broke their brains and now they are just running zombie candidates. It is a once in a 100 years sight to behold in American politics.

I feel like if I lived in England, I would be torn between 2 or 3 parties, which would be great. The times I follow British politics, sometimes Labour sounds good, sometimes the Conservatives make good points, and sometimes the Liberal Democrats seem to be the way to go. Here, its the Democrats or Nazi-Lite Republicans. This is truly awful. I'm just glad Der Fuhrer Trump is so incompetent that we have about a 99.9% chance of 12 years straight of democrats in the White House.
