Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-IL) is scheduled to show up to serve his 15-month federal prison sentence today for a hush money case related to decades-old allegations of sexual abuse.
Well, at least with him in prison there's one less sexual abuser vote for tRumpt.

In other words, fifteen months of medical care, and we pay for it.

Of course, it will probably be half that--he might be home for Xmas.

(though not guaranteed that mean 10% of remaining sentence in a half way house) that means 67 days good time (383 days of jail) minus 38 days half way house) equals 345 days in jail peanuts compared to what that asswipe deserves

He can get extra time off, 6 months at his low sentence I'd assume, as long as his lawyer was smart enough to say he is addicted to cough syrup or alcohol or something.

It's hard to get a spot though.

You used the word "usually" which is true. Depends on the prison, population and waiting time.

I personally know of 2 people with 15 month sentences that got into RDAP 2 months into their sentence. They preferred RDAP versus general population because it was stricter, cleaner and RDAP holds the inmates accountable for their actions. Unlike general population. Although at the medical facility I doubt Hastert will have real issues.

It all depends, and we might see Hastert out earlier than expected. Hopefully he just fades into nonexistence.

Former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert Reports to Prison in Wheelchair

By LEE FERRAN Jun 22, 2016, 1:32 PM ET

Former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert reported to prison today in a wheelchair to serve his 15-month sentence for financial crimes related to purported decades-old, repeated sexual abuse of minors.

Hastert arrived two hours before his scheduled deadline at a federal medical prison in Minnesota where the 74-year-old is expected to serve out his sentence, ABC News’ Chicago affiliate WLS reported.

The man once second in line for the presidency pleaded guilty in October to “structuring currency transactions” that prosecutors said was a cover-up for the payment of hush money to a man Hastert sexually abused decades before.

During his case, prosecutors alleged that Hastert abused several boys when he was a wrestling coach at an Illinois high school in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Prosecutors went into disturbing detail about some of Hastert’s purported behavior.
