Another great Clinton line about Trump

In her response to Don the Con's tirade today:

""Clinton responded by accusing Trump of "attacking a philanthropic foundation that saves and improves lives around the world."

"It's no surprise that he doesn't understand these things. The Clinton foundation helps poor people around the world get access to life-saving AIDS medicine," Clinton added. "Donald Trump uses poor people around the world to produce his line of suits and ties.""

It was a good line, but I'm glad she didn't even give Trump much attention in that speech at all. He should be ignored. Being ignored is what he hates most.

7/8 of the speech was a detailed description of domestic economic policies and priorities she would try to enact as president. That was the real zinger for me. And she hasn't had to pivot one inch yet. That's the beauty of having Donald Trump for an opponent.

You punch them HARD right square in the nose and then go about your business. Hillary did, and will continue to do so, with great style!

She's done plenty of hitting Trump in the nose already. If she wants to make a contrast, however, all she needs to do is show how presidential and serious and knowledgable she is ... while all he is able to do is call names like a third-grader on the playground, with no substance to offer the nation.

Now THAT'S effective. We don't need a constant pissing contest. We need a president. She's doing that well.

every single act of aggression by the bully MUST be met with a stiff punch to the nose. Remember how Cruz tried to appease him for so long that it became impossible to halt his momentum? If we disagree, that's fine. I trust Hillary and her advisors to know the right balance.

But notice: there is almost no discussion on this board about the 55 minutes she talked policy. (And it was strong and it was interesting). But let out a zinger against Trump in the last 5 minutes, and there are 8 threads.

My complaint is not in the least about Hillary Clinton. I thought her speech was terrific. It's about the propensity for thinking that potshots are the real stuff of politics. He or she who yells loudest is the hero. No, he or she who works hardest and understands the complexities of issues is the hero, in my book.

My point was that I was glad that her speech was so substantive rather than taking the bully's bait, and I wish people would talk about that substance more. But I suppose very few even listened to it in its entirety.

Hilary gets in an on point, accurate AND GREAT zinger, I will happily point it out EVERY TIME. Many people here seem to appreciate same and, like me, consider it something to enjoy and be celebrated.

We're talking lightweight (tRump), against the Queen of campaigns....I'm a Bernie supporter, but that one line for me, MIGHT, and I say might, just make me feel better about voting for Hillary.
