(36,926 posts)please do not ask for NRA talking points
The 5th amendment guarantees us due process, it's a fundamental right that is the basis for much of our society, yet it seems that all too many are willing to throw the 5th amendment out the window based on some vague and unsubstantiated claim that it will make our society safer.
Are they equally willing to give up 1st amendment rights, as well, if someone in the government promises that doing so will make us safer?
Since when did voiding the constitution become a progressive doctrine?
Shades of McCarthyism........

(36,926 posts)Dozens of innocent citizens in Orlando and far too many other places were denied that right, because Republicans think it's more important to allow individuals the right to own assault weapons, even if they are on a no fly list. Enough!
Crepuscular
(1,057 posts)they were denied those rights because a batshit crazy, self-loathing, Gay Muslim decided to kill them. He was not on the no-fly list and passed multiple background checks when he bought the weapon used. Your rant is replete with multiple fantasies, maybe you should consider using facts instead of emotions if you wish to change opinions.
Just curious, how many people died last year in this country at the hands of people who were on the No-Fly list, using "assault weapons" which they legally purchased?
MoonRiver
(36,926 posts)And I'm sure your right to own assault rifles is going to remain perfectly safe, due to our bought and sold by the NRA Repukes.

(36,926 posts)The public is totally fed up, and pretty soon stopping this madness will become the most important issue for Americans when voting. We may already be there, in fact.
