It sounded FDR-like. It was more "progressive" than anything Bernie Sanders has said during the entire primary season.
However, words are cheap. Has she returned to her progressive roots or is this just a ploy to gain the support of Bernie supporters?
I suppose we will have to wait and see?
But, it was very encouraging to hear her spell out her progressive agenda. Perhaps Bernie's campaign has performed a valuable service after all?
In my opinion, we should not pre-judge her sincerity or intent until we see something different.
I was impressed with her speech. Call me naive.

(15,237 posts)Just maybe all of those millennials Pied Piper Sanders gathered might come in handy. I have seen it first hand talked with them, they need to be encouraged it is our future.
I have followed your posts for years, with the primary I have been at odds with posters on this site I am certain would share common interests in real life. Most of my friends are Hillary supporters we have not had harsh words. Yes Hillary's speech was excellent. Although I have not supported her this Primary I have met her, the last face to face conversation was 15 years ago. Right now Democrats are up. There is something happening not sure what?

(1,825 posts)...was NOT being progressive ( Hillary Clintons Disturbing Comments Calling Iranians Her Enemies ). It made no progress forward, and indeed, undermined the efforts of John Kerry to improve relations. It was even, alas, even reminiscent of Bush II placing Iran in his "Axis of Evil."
Hillary can do better.
Hopefully, she will.

Full of strawmen and over interpretation.
She has been nothing but supportive of the Iran Deal.

(28,151 posts)She is up against a con man with no money and lukewarm party support at best. There is so much low hanging fruit with which to fashion devastating campaign ads against Trump it's incedible!
She can go with a bolder agenda because she is the adult on the ballot and the sane people of the world know this.
