(5,902 posts)While I don't advocate killing such people, many end up either jailed or dead on their own accord - to say nothing of the havoc the wreck on their communities.
It's still tragic; but certainly less tragic than having five good people die.

(130,860 posts)DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. - Authorities say three people are dead and two others wounded in a shooting Friday night in District Heights.
Prince Georges County fire officials say all five adult victims were found inside a home in the 3100 block of Orleans Street at around 9:43 p.m.
Three of the victims were found dead at the scene while the two surviving victims were taken to a local trauma center. Prince George's County police said one of them is in critical condition and the other is in stable condition.
Police said the shooting does not appear to be random and the search for suspect or suspects is underway.'
