He's been on the NRA's bad list since he introduced the Manchin-Toomey bill in 2013, after the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School. That bill would have closed the gun-show background check loophole.

The NRA will be gunning for him when he runs for reelection in 2018. (Pun very much intended!)

I'm also from WV and in my opinion ALL NRA money is now blood money. I used to have a fairly good opinion of the NRA. I can remember my kids getting gun safety information and instruction when they were young. But now I just see the organization as purveyors of violence.
