Ohhhhh shit, my vote really does count!

Some of the voters voted for leave as a protest vote, thinking it would never win, surprise!

I just heard they are trying to organize a do over. Better consult with cheeto, sure don't want to impact his golf courses.

made sensible rules like requiring a super majority, or Parliament ratification, or something.

Just to have a majority referendum on something so major, seems crazy.

We can't even have a federal referendum on this country on decriminalizing marijuana. The UK just allowed one to completely change their economy.

3. Your post is a prime example why the Democratic Party MUST heed the lessons of this result.

Firstly, I believe it was well in excess of 2%, especially in the working class estates of the North of England & Wales, where there is a huge amount of generational unemployment caused by Margaret Thatcher's closing of the coal mines back in the 80s. People there have no love for Tory governments and would have used this to give Tory Boy Cameron a right kicking.

Hillary must understand that it's not enough to say "I understand", she must give working class Americans a reason for voting for her. The narrative being used against her is that she is in the pocket of Wall Street, so she has to fight back against that narrative. That's why I believe Elizabeth Warren as her VP pick would give her far more than help in just one or two states (as perhaps Tim Kaine would), Warren would reach right into that doubting middle class and bolster the ticket on Trust, and give them the belief/hope that Warren will ensure that Clinton will fix Wall Street.

9. No, there wasn't exit polling because it was a stand alone issue. The only poll done was by

discouraged people from protest voting, not made them cocky enough to vote against what they actually wanted.

Then again, I guess I don't care. Done is done.

12. Can't exit poll something like this with any reliability.

You'd need to know how each demographic was going to vote, something about turnout patterns.

This was a one-off.

It's like having odds posted on how the Penguins would do against the Golden State Warriors in the 100 m freestyle (swimming) competition.
