It's kind of amusing, actually, primarily because I notice so few actually see that message sticking out at them.

This encapsulates so much better than those other ones (although the alligator, as I mentioned, was pretty good too). The message is a bit harder to untangle and twist. A counter requires a bit of thought, which will eliminate most opponents.

As for the post you linked (good lord you have a lot of pictures!), I don't like most of those as well as this one (Note: So far I have only looked at the SINGULAR post you linked, not the others, so that statement is likely to be altered over time). Too many easily shredded messages (or outright chicanery in some of them, like the 'Fetishization' one. I mean seriously. "...by convincing them that power equals the ability to kill". Hello? It does. Take away the government's ability to kill and see who all is following a law tomorrow morning. ALL temporal power is violence, either directly or at the end of a causative indirect chain. That's why it's so laughable that people think they can 'gain' 'power'. No, you just gain the ability to do violence. Good for you.) for most of them. I don't see much value in easily-shredded messages, as I normally don't deal with convincing 'masses' type people of anything. I know they do have some value to those who do (via repetition, obviously).

The second amendment is bullshit, an ugly relic of the 18th century just as slavery was. It's always been about oppression. Slaves rebelling, workers striking, Indians wont leave? If it works for one worry, it works for both.

So it's not that great an argument.

What you might more realistically be worried about is that "some" guns may be taken away, not all. And what we also might be worried about is that some Social Security cuts will happen, not total elimination of it; and Medicare may end up going private (for profit) instead of staying in the hands of the government.

I think the first one is the right thing to do. But the second one would hurt everyone.

It's not an infringement on 2nd amendment rights, as we already have restriction on guns and weapons that civilians are not allowed to buy/own. Adding more to that list may upset a lot of gun people, but it's within the law to do it, and if it will save lives, it should be done, IMHO.
