Colorado just completed their primary election last night. Gordon Klingenschmitt lost his primary!

The POTUS candidates weren't on this ballot - that was taken care of in the caucuses in March (Colorado's unusual in that they have caucuses and primary elections).

But some other races have been resolved.

In my neck of the woods, the man running against Democrat Michael Bennet will now be Darryl Glenn.

He's your basic batshit Tea Party Republican - super conservative, fundie, pro-gun, anti-abortion.

Diana Degette swatted away her primary challenger, Charles "Chuck" Norris (no relation to the actor/teabagger).

And Gordon Klingenschmitt, disgraced, court-martialed former Navy chaplain, TV anti-gay demon-hunting evangelist, and representative for Colorado House District 15, lost his bid to move up to the state Senate.

cannot understand about glenn. he was a total waste on county commission, for one thing.

never mind--just read this:

Glenn managed to emerge from the crowded race with a cavalry of allies — Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin and other Tea Party stars — and received more than a half-million dollars in campaign help from outside conservative organizations. He called himself “an unapologetic Christian, constitutional conservative” who promised to take an uncompromising approach to Washington if elected.

The Air Force veteran and three-time national collegiate powerlifting champion said he wouldn’t work across the aisle with Democrats and vowed to vote against fellow Republican Mitch McConnell if the current Senate Majority Leader sought to keep his post.

“Starting with no name ID and very little money, he overcame great odds and won a race that few believed he could win,” said Ken Cuccinelli, the president of the Senate Conservatives Fund, one of the organizations that boosted the campaign. “Darryl Glenn won because he’s an unapologetic conservative who is willing to stand up to the liberals in both parties.”

f-cking lunatic Gordon Klingenschmitt. He caused the Department of the Navy a good deal of heartburn with his shenanigans. What an ass!

Didn't know how to take military orders, didn't know how to count, couldn't tell the truth, hated LGBT folks. What the hell, I thought he was a dead certain winner for the Republican primary.
